How does Shazam work?
This article by Cameron MacLeod goes through how Shazam actually works in depth. It has always intrigued me how Shazam is able to find the songs that you want to find so quickly and with such precision. Cameron explains it exceptionally well with both pictures and animations. I definitely recommend reading it, one of the best pieces of blogging I’ve read in a while.
What side project landed you a job?
This post on HackerNews got me a bit intrigued and changed the way I look on this blog. People definitely landed interesting new jobs based on their side-projects, however, I fail to understand how people actually have time in-between work to focus on what their side-projects?
